Hugo Ciotti is Guernsey’s qualified tree inspector and arboricultural consultant — 12 years of industry experience, trained at Sparsholt College, former arboricultural supervisor for Ministry of Defence estates, and heritage arborist at Westonbirt National Arboretum. The credentials are exceptional — his website just hadn’t caught up with them yet.
He had a site, but it wasn’t pulling its weight — a little dated in look, hard to find in search, and not quite making the first impression the solicitors, planners, and homeowners he most needed to reach would expect. The brief wasn’t to start from scratch so much as to start properly: rebuild it to rank in Guernsey for the specific services he offers — BS5837 tree surveys, health and safety assessments, TPO advice, climbing inspections, and bat roost surveys.

Arboricultural consultancy is a niche search category — but in a small island market like Guernsey, the pool of qualified practitioners is narrow and the intent behind those searches is high. Someone looking for a BS5837 tree survey needs one, and they need it soon. We built the site to capture that intent at every level.
The architecture was structured from the outset for search: geo signals, LocalBusiness and FAQPage structured data, service-level keyword targeting, and long-form answers to the questions Guernsey planners, solicitors, and homeowners actually type into Google. Every section was written to answer a real question, not just fill a page.

This copy earns rankings and reduces the back-and-forth before a first enquiry.
