Started simple.
Grew with purpose.

Goda creates sea glass art from pieces she collects along the coastline of Guernsey. The original brief was beautifully straightforward: a single-page site to showcase her work. Clean, minimal, and entirely focused on letting the artwork speak for itself.

As the project developed, it became clear there was genuine demand for pieces to be purchased directly. The scope expanded naturally to include a dedicated shop section — but the founding principle stayed unchanged: keep it simple, make it beautiful, and make sure Goda never has to think too hard about running it.

Built to last,
not to manage.

Goda is an artist, not a developer — and the site was designed around that from day one. No complex CMS, no plugins that need updating, no admin overhead. A structure built to hold up visually for years without regular intervention.

The shop section required particular thought. Rather than reaching for an off-the-shelf e-commerce solution that would bring unnecessary complexity, we built a custom lightweight admin panel specifically for Goda’s needs. She can add new pieces, upload images, set prices, and mark items as sold — all without touching a line of code.

One page.
Everything it needs.

The site flows as a single cohesive page — hero, gallery mosaic, artist story, shop, commissions, and contact — each section given room to breathe. Large imagery throughout, with restrained typography that steps back and lets the art lead.

The custom admin panel reads from a lightweight data file, keeping the shop fast and free of dependencies. Each listing holds an image, title, dimensions, medium, and price. When a piece sells, it displays a sold banner for 30 days before removing itself automatically. An enquiry button on each piece pre-fills the contact form with the item name and price — reducing friction for Goda and for buyers.

Work completed includes: full site architecture and design, responsive layout, interactive gallery with filter tabs, custom shop admin panel, contact form integration, sold item automation, and ongoing support.

“

“Goda needed a home for her work — somewhere that felt as considered as the pieces themselves. We built something that wouldn’t get in the way: her art front and centre, a shop she can manage without thinking about it, and nothing she’d ever need to call us about.”
